Lightroom Questions & Quirks - Number 9
Help! What's happened??!!!
Back from Pinedale after a great few days shooting birds, especially owls, perhaps more of which later. However, I am now left with several thousand images to Bridge and to upload to Lightroom, so here's the next most frequently asked question that I patiently and sweetly answer!
Question No 9: I am in the Library module and have three images selected in the filmstrip that I wish to delete. When I hit the delete key it only deletes one of the three images. I know I have deleted more than one at a time in the past. What gives?
Answer: Even though the filmstrip shows and states that you have more than one image selected, if you are in the loupe view as opposed to the grid view, it will only delete the one image that appears in the loupe view. Hit the "G" key for grid and then try to delete and you will be able to delete all the images you have selected. Remember this Lightroom quirk holds true for adding stars, labels and keywords to multiple images too, you must be in the "Grid" view.
And that leads to another related question I get quite often….where did my filmstrip go?? It disappeared!!
Just click on the small grey triangle at the bottom of Lightroom and it will reappear.
