At Last - Back Again!
OK, I know it has been a while since I have blogged, but life and work have been rather hectic over the past few months. However, UK immigration looked favorably on me last week and I now reside in an underground windowless office in Cheltenham, England shackled to a 27inch screen with my Terabytes of un-Bridged images – I thought I was coming for a holiday! I am told I will be allowed out for the weekend!!
So, it is obviously time to rectify my silence, and here are a whole bunch of small items to bring you up to date:
Pecha Kucha: The Bozeman Owl – Animal Behavior – & Me
Actually, the first item wasn’t that small, it is now three months since the Pecha Kucha at the Ellen Theatre and when I think of it I still feel the nervousness that I felt as I walked onto the stage, especially as I was the last to present. The apprehension soon went as I launched into the presentation, and it all seemed to be well received. The video of it has now found its way to Vimeo, so I thought you might like to take a look.
I will be putting some of the owl images onto my website next week, so keep a look out for those too.
Yellowstone Association Calendar
You may remember the two Sandhill Crane colts greeting the new day last Summer, well I am extremely pleased to say that the Yellowstone Association chose it for the cover of their 2014 calendar – a great honor. If you are interested in buying a copy they are available through the YA website.
2014 YAI Winter Digital Workflow and Photography Workshop
Talking of the Yellowstone Association, registration is open for my Workshop in the Lamar Valley from January 3-8. It is a great way of combining field photography and instruction in a wonderful setting, while learning the workflow to keep it all under control. Details are available in the Winter Catalogue and also here; Registration is through the YAI website.
The Second 2014 Yurt Tour
The January 2014 Yurt Tour has proved to be so popular that I have organized a second tour in February. This is slightly shorter and slightly cheaper, but no less outstanding and extreme. Details are here. I have already filled some places, so if you are interested please don’t delay in contacting me.
Finally:
I won’t be locked up for the whole trip, so in the next few weeks I hope to be sharing images of the wonderful English weather, the fabulous cooking, the unspoiled wastes, newborn princes and any other fantastical subjects I may come across!
