Mud Waddle
A powerful burrower, the Badger is primarily nocturnal, but is often active by day, waddling and trotting about. The Badger does not hibernate, however, it may become torpid in the coldest part of winter, remaining deep within its burrow for several days or weeks. Ever the opportunist, coyotes sometimes watch attentively as the badger digs for prey and may steal the rodent as it pops from an escape exit.
