Red-Crested Korhaan

Also known as the rocket or parachute or suicide bird.  During coutship, the males launch themselves up to 30 yards in the air, and then just stops flying! The korhaan rolls over, then drops back to the ground as if he had been shot – all the while executing a perfect backward somersault. Just before hitting the ground he opens his wings and glides in to land on his favorite mound.
