Prairie Falcon
The Prairie Falcon is usually found in places away from water, whereas the Peregrine is nearly always found near a water source. The Prairie Falcon's diet consists mainly of birds, which it hunts on the wing but generally captures on or near the ground. Where elevated perches are available, they will spend a time watching for prey, but in open country without high perches, the style of hunting is to fly low above the ground and flush their prey.
